1-9/16″ Curtain Grommets, Bronze

  1. Finish top of curtain with a 4″ or larger header.
  2. Measure finished width of curtain. Divide measurement by the number of grommets. This will be the spacing measurement. TIP: Use an even number of grommets.
  3. At the top of curtain, mark center of 1st grommet at ½ of spacing measurement from the side edge of curtain.
  4. Continue marking grommet centers across top of curtain at full spacing measurement. Last grommet center will be ½ of spacing from other edge.
  5. Position template over center marks and trace slots; cut out holes.
  6. Place raised center of grommet in hole from right side.
  7. On wrong side, position “prong” side of grommet over raised center. Using the palm of your hand, press down to secure.

TIP: To remove grommets, insert flat screwdriver tip into slot; lift up.

1/2″ Fashion Grommets

  1. Mark position of grommet by tracing around inside opening of grommet. Cut hole with scissors. Note: For fabrics with stretch, cut hole smaller than inside opening of grommet.
  2. Insert grommet (deep half) into hole from right to wrong side of fabric. Place anvil on a hard surface. Position grommet on anvil.
  3. Place insert over center of grommet and press close to fabric.
  4. Place washer, dome side up, over insert.
  5. Position into grommet; hammer using 2 or 3 forceful taps. Center of grommet will roll over to secure grommet and provide a smooth finish.

Machine washable and dryable.

Small parts. Keep away from children.

  2. Mark center position of grommets across top of curtain.
  3. Position template over center marks and trace slots; cut out hole.
  4. Place raised center of grommet in hole from right side.
  5. On wrong side, position PRONG side of grommet over raised center and press down to secure.

TIP: To remove grommets, insert flat screwdriver tip into slot and lift up.

Screw Together Grommets

1. Remove screws from back of grommet with a small Phillips Head screwdriver. 2. Use template that is printed on the back of the product packaging to mark fabric. (A printable template can also be found under “Additional Product Instructions” on this webpage.) Carefully cut center hole and small holes for screws. Seal raw edges with Fray Check®.

Note: Fabric layers must be as thick as the grommet – 1/8”. A small piece of batting or fleece can be placed between the fabric layers for additional thickness if needed.

3. From the right side, place front of grommet into the hole. Turn over and place back on front matching screw holes. Insert screws securing tightly.

Tip: For permanent attachment, a small amount of fabric/metal glue can be placed around the inside of grommet before placing it into hole and securing with screws.
