InnerFuse™ Instructions

InnerFuse is a stiff interfacing with a double-sided fusible coating. Fusing fabric to both sides creates an instant lining, while the stiffness of the interfacing forms and maintains the shape of three dimensional projects.

InnerFuse is 75% polyester, 25% rayon. To launder, machine wash on gentle cycle with cold water, and tumble dry on low heat.

Do not put the iron in direct contact with InnerFuse. Protect pressing surface with a non-stick press cloth or parchment paper.

General instructions:

  1. Cut a piece of InnerFuse slightly larger than the project pattern, or the size needed to accommodate all the pattern pieces.
  2. Cut two pieces of fabric slightly larger than the piece of InnerFuse (one for each side of InnerFuse).
  3. Make an InnerFuse “sandwich”:
    1. Set iron to highest dry setting.
    2. Place InnerFuse on covered pressing surface.
    3. Place first fabric on InnerFuse, right side up.
    4. Use a “lift and press” motion to fuse, allowing 5-10 seconds of constant heat before picking up iron and moving to adjacent position. Do not slide iron over fabric.
    5. Turn the fused layers over and repeat with the second piece of fabric on the other side (illus.1).
